The National Sports commission has rolled out strong mobilisation of Nigerian supporters both home and abroad for the Super eagles ahead of Thursday’s all important World cup playoffs tie against Gabon in Rabat, Morocco.

The leadership of the NSC led by Chairman Mallam Shehu Dikko and Director General Hon. Bukola Olopade left no stone unturned to ensure that members of the various Nigeria supporters clubs were logistically sponsored to Morocco while also ensuring that the Nigerian community across the North Africa country were adequately mobilised for the game.

The DG of the NSC, Hon Bukola Olopade said this was very imperative to give the super eagles adequate support at the stadium throughout ninety minutes.

” We have one of the best supporters clubs in the World and throughout the success story of the Super eagles over the years, the Supporters club have always been the 12th player of the team, from the days of the Green Eagles to the Super eagles. Therefore their presence at the stadium cannot be overemphasized for the success of the team during this crucial playoff games”.

” We have also ensured that enough logistical support were also given to the Nigerian community in Morocco to come out in their number to the stadium on Thursday. That way, we will make the stadium very intimidating for the Gabonese because we have the population strength”, the DG said.

Meanwhile Interim Chairman of the Unified Nigeria supporters club, Prince Vincent Okumagba, has praised the National Sports Commission for what he describes as their show of support, concern and collaboration to the supporters club.

” We must commend Mallam Shehu Dikko and Hon. Bukola Olopade because they truly understand the language of Sports in and out which is why it is very easy for them to understand us and come to our aide”.

” They have shown that they understand the importance of a game of this magnitude and with the support of all Nigerians, the Super Eagles will book that World cup ticket”.
