In a groundbreaking development that has sent shockwaves of excitement through the sports and governance communities, Dr Solomon Omamoezi Ogba has been appointed as a member of the prestigious Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) Governance and Integrity Committee.

As the IAU Area Representative for Africa, Dr Ogba has been a driving force behind the promotion of ultrarunning on the continent.
His tenure as Area Representative since 2016 has been marked by unwavering dedication and a keen sense of integrity, qualities that have propelled him to the forefront of sports governance in Africa.
One of his most notable achievements was bringing the inaugural IAU African 50K Championships to Nigeria in 2019, a testament to his tireless efforts to promote the sport and put Africa on the global map.
