The African Senior Squash Championship, held in Kampala, Uganda, may have come to a close, but its impact continues to resonate deeply within the squash community, particularly among stakeholders who witnessed Nigeria’s stunning performance.

The Nigeria Squash Federation (NSF) President, Wilson Egberipou, congratulated Delight Allison on her remarkable non-PSA Ladies singles title victory at the African Senior Championship in Uganda, praising her achievement as a testament to Nigeria’s growing prowess in continental squash.

The highlight of the tournament was undoubtedly Delight Allison’s remarkable non-PSA Ladies singles title victory, a testament to her unwavering dedication and unrelenting passion for the sport.

Allison’s triumph was nothing short of inspiration, as she outmaneuvered her Zambian opponent in the final, showcasing her exceptional skill and poise under pressure.

Her victory not only brought pride to Nigeria but also served as a shining example of the country’s potential to produce world-class squash players.

Meanwhile, reigning national champion Rofiat Abdulazeez put up a valiant fight, narrowly missing out on the finals after a heartbreaking semi-finals loss.

However, Allison’s victory is not the only reason Nigeria has to celebrate. The country’s squash team demonstrated remarkable consistency, securing second place in men and women team events, narrowly missing the top spot to Egypt.

This impressive performance is a clear indication of Nigeria’s growing prowess in continental squash and a testament to the country’s commitment to developing the sport.

Stakeholders lauded Allison’s achievement, recognizing the significance of her victory and the team’s overall performance. The squash community eagerly anticipates Nigeria’s next move, confident that the country will continue to make waves in the sport.
