The All Progressives Congress has chosen Former Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Senator Godswill Akpabio as the consensus candidate for the Senate Presidency.
The APC in a statement by Felix Morka on Monday also chose Tajudeen Abass from Kaduna State as the consensus for House of Representatives Speaker.
APC leadership also zeroed on Kano North Senator, Barau Jibrin as the Deputy State President while spokesperson of the 9th House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu was ratified as the Deputy Speaker.
The North Central where the outgoing Deputy Speaker, Idris Wase hails from has been jettisoned in the zoning arrangements.
Wase has been scheming to lead the 10th House of Representatives but sources have said he doesn’t have the blessings of his boss, Femi Gbajabiamila.
