    Nigerian Boniface Named In Europa League Team Of The Season

    Nigeria striker, Victor Boniface has been named in the 2022-23 Europa League team of the season.

    Boniface was in an impressive form for Belgian Pro League outfit, Union Saint Gilloise scoring six goals and providing two assists in the competition.

    The 22-year-old finished as the competition’s top scorer alongside Marcus Rashford of Manchester United.

    Union Saint Gilloise crashed out of the competition in the quarter-final after losing out to Bayer Leverkusen 5-2 on aggregate.

    Boniface has been linked with a move away from Union Saint Gilloise after scoring 22 goals in all competitions.

    Sevilla emerged champions of the 2022-23 Europa League after beating AS Roma in the final on penalties.

    Defenders: Marcos Acuna (Sevilla), Chris Smalling (AS Roma), Jonathan Tah (Bayer Leverkusen), Jesus Navas (Sevilla)

    Midfielders: Ivan Rakitic (Sevilla), Lorenzo Pellegrini (AS Roma), Nemanja Matic (AS Roma)

    Forwards: Victor Boniface (Union Saint-Gilloise), Marcus Rashford (Manchester United), Paulo Dybala (AS Roma).
