Remo Stars whipped Shooting Stars of Ibadan 3-0 to clinch the South West ticket at the ongoing Naija Super 8 Tournament at the Eket Township Stadium in Eket, Akwa Ibom State, on Friday.

Andy Okpe opened the scoring for the Sky Blues in the 7th minute of the game in what was their first shot on target after 3SC had created multiple chances, the lanky striker slotted home the opener after a goal-keeping and defensive blunder from the 3SC defense

Nwaeze Boniface made it two for Remo Stars in the 11th minute through a well-taken header while Samuel Anaekwe scored the 3rd goal in the 74th minute to take the game beyond the Oluyole Warriors and condemn Gbenga Ogunbote to one of the biggest defeats in his coaching career.

Earlier in the day, Lobi Stars of Makurdi edged City Boys FC of Abuja to qualify from the North Central region. The NPFL side needed a 5-4 penalty shootout to earn the ticket after a 2-2 draw in the regulation time.
