Man Utd Ahead Of PSG In Race To Sign Juve’s Rabiot

Manchester United are ‘leading’ Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in the race to acquire the services of Juventus star Adrien Rabiot in the upcoming transfer window, according to a report via Manchester Evening News.

The France international’s current contract at the Turin-based club is set to expire in the coming weeks. As a result, the midfielder will be available as a free agent.

As things stand, the 28-year-old is looking to start a new chapter in his career and is set to leave the Old Lady this summer. He is eyeing a contract worth around £7 million a year.

Apart from the Red Devils, Rabiot is on the radar of the Parisians as well. The French national developed into a world-class midfielder at the Parc des Princes side before joining Juventus on a free transfer.

At the Bianconeri, the French national has been decent overall. However, in the current campaign, the 28-year-old has shone in an underperforming team and he was also pivotal for Les Bleus at the 2022 World Cup.

PSG have had an abundance of talent at their disposal over the years but have failed to get their hands on the holy grail—the Champions League trophy. Their engine room consists of the likes of Marco Verratti, Fabian Ruiz, Carlos Soler, Renato Sanches and Vitinha.

At United, we signed Christian Eriksen for free last summer. The deal has turned out to be magnificent for the Red Devils, considering the role the Danish national has played in our success this season.

However, the Old Trafford side seemingly lack depth in the middle of the park. The addition of Marcel Sabitzer on loan from Bayern Munich in January proved to be wise. But the Austrian is set to return to the Bavarians.

Therefore, Rabiot is a good option to have our eyes on to add quality to the middle of the park. The French national will also be coming for free. Thus, it makes sense on a lot of levels to secure the midfielder’s signature.
