The much-anticipated Super 4 Stage of the Grassroots Youth Football Development League 2024/2025 Season is scheduled to take place on Saturday, 14th and Sunday, 15th June 2025 at the Nipost Football Field, Egor Local Government Area and Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City.

Following the official draw ceremony held on Tuesday, 10th June 2025 at the Edo State Football Association Board Room, eight teams—four from the Under-14 category and four from the Under-17 category—have been confirmed to battle for the top honours in the final stage.

The maiden edition of the Grassroots Youth Football Development League has run successfully across Edo South and Edo North, with Edo Central preparing to join in the second edition. The league has provided a powerful platform for young talents to showcase their footballing abilities and sportsmanship.

Organizers are pleased with the high level of discipline and enthusiasm demonstrated by participating teams and stakeholders, reaffirming the league’s goal of promoting youth engagement and talent development through football.

The positive reception and growing popularity of the league have inspired more teams and communities to express interest in joining future editions. Several clubs that missed out this season have already signaled their intention to participate in upcoming seasons.

As the maiden edition draws to a close, organizers are optimistic that more partners and sponsors will come on board to support the vision of building a sustainable football development ecosystem in Edo State and beyond.

The third-place and final matches, along with the closing ceremonies, will take place over the weekend, concluding on Sunday, 15th June 2025, at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium.

The Grassroots Youth Football Development League, in partnership with the Edo State Football Association, is inviting corporate bodies, youth organisations, football fans, political leaders, government authorities, and the general public to be part of the celebratory closing events.

Let’s come together to support our youth and celebrate a successful season of grassroots football.
