The Executive Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, has appointed Coach Deutsch Detchoua Gustave Emmanuel as the new Head Coach of Enyimba International Football Club, Aba, with the aim of restoring the club’s former glory. 
Enyimba, a two-time CAF Champions League winner and multiple domestic league champion, has been experiencing a decline, but Governor Otti’s administration is determined to reposition it for success.
Coach Emmanuel brings a wealth of experience, with CAF A, B, and C coaching licenses, and a track record of success in Nigeria and Cameroon, including the 2025 NNL Best Coach Award.
Governor Otti believes the coach’s expertise will significantly contribute to Enyimba’s rebuilding process and return the club to its rightful position as a powerhouse in Nigerian and African football .
