The management of Galaxy Sports Development China and Galaxy Sports Academy Nigeria was hosted live On Air at last Wednesday’s Midweek Sports on Radio Nigeria.
The epoch event started with a jersey presentation from Kelme Sportswear and Gsports to the CEO of Orah Bayit Foundation, Kaduna, Mrs. Adams Grace.
Galaxy Sports Executive Chairman/CEO, the Technical Director, coach Usman Gidado and Team Manager, Alberto were all live at the studio to discuss grassroots youth football development.
The presenter, Jonathan Ameh spoke about slave contracts still ongoing abroad in the profession, and the CEO of Galaxy Sports responded by assuring listeners that Galaxy Sports is strictly abiding by the FIFA regulations and also the Constitution of Nigeria and each country they collaborate with in terms of player management especially guiding teenagers abroad.
Probing further, the sports presenter, Ameh went ahead to ask about the recruitment policies of Galaxy Sports Academy since they develop youth in Nigeria, which the CEO admitted that the academy had not yet purchased the MRI scanning machine but was following a system that works through discovering talent at an early stage and giving them adequate good training.
The Technical Director of Galaxy Sports on the other hand, cleared the air on if the academy only scouts its players within city centers in Nigeria by reminding the public about the townlet areas in Plateau, Kaduna, Benue, Ogun State and others Galaxy Sports has discovered talent and where those talents are currently.
The moment of the interview session was heightened when the CEO broke the news to the public that Galaxy Sports is preparing to participate in the Shenyang 2023 Peace Cup in China come August.
The academy is presenting its U14 and U16 teams in the competition this year.
The CEO assured everyone that all participants from Nigeria for the Shenyang Peace Cup are going to abide by the laws and regulations of the Federal Republic of China during the visit.
