__A Helping Hand: Edo Speaker’s Heartwarming Visit to St Margaret Orphanage__
In a beautiful display of kindness, Edo State House of Assembly Speaker, Rt Hon. Blessing Agbebaku, and his wife, Mrs Barbara Agbebaku, brought joy to St Margaret Orphanage .
They gifted the home a cow , food items , and cash , showing their commitment to giving back.
A full study scholarship to 17-year-old Miss Ohimai Harmony Ishanubua to study at the University of Benin (UNIBEN).
This selfless act is a reminder that destiny helpers can appear when we least expect them.
The Agbebakus’ visit is a testament to their dedication to making a difference in their community.

The Speaker made this pronouncement when he paid visit to St. Margaret Orphanage Home, Oke Old Ora, in Owan West LGA, Edo State.
According to the Proprietress of the orphanage home, Dr. Margaret Ohimai, the beneficiary of Mr Speaker’s scholarship, the Orphan passed with flying colours in her WAEC and JAMB-UTME’s examinations, having made 7As and scoring 240 in the last UTME, but could not proceed to the University due to financial constraints.
Moved by the situation, the Speaker directed his Chief Of Staff, Sir. (Hon) ODK Iruobe to personally open education fund for her at Access Bank Sabongidda-Ora, where the sum of Two Hundred thousand Naira (#200,000.00) would be paid monthly into the account to cater for her study and upkeep.
On her part, Dr. Judith Giwa-Amu, wife of late Brig-Gen Solomon Giwa-Amu, also offered her financial support, urging the Orphan to study hard in order make the Speaker and the orphanage proud.
Others on the Speaker’s entourage Including Engr. Nelson Agbebaku and Hon. Monday Oiseomaye also pledged their financial support for the orphanage home.
Responding, Dr. Margaret Ohimai, Proprietress of the Orphanage Home, said “today is a day to be remembered forever”.
“I was raised as an orphan and I vowed that I must set this up to give back to the society”.
“Mr. Speaker we have heard of your philanthropic works. We thank you for this kind gesture.
” we have two of our Orphans that are already in the University. A day- old we adopted some years ago is now in the University studying”.
” This is the beginning of your greatness. The God of this children will not let you down in Jesus name. Where you will stop will be the starting point of your children. Celebration will never cease from your home.”
Highpoint of the visit was the presentation of a cow, bags of rice, tubers of yam, clothing materials, cash gift and lots more to the orphanage home, assuring of his continuous support for the less privileged.
The Speaker later visited one of his project sites, where he inspected the ongoing reconstruction of Oke Old Health Centre.
