The inaugural Golden League Series has officially begun in Edo State, Nigeria, with athletes gearing up for a thrilling competition.
The state’s Sports Commission chairman, Amadin Desmond Enabulele, has praised the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) for choosing Edo as the host, citing it as a testament to the state’s growing reputation as a premier destination for major national sporting events.
Enabulele specifically thanked AFN President, Chief Tonobok Okowa, for backing the initiative and approving financial rewards to motivate standout athletes, setting the stage for a successful event.
He also commended Governor Senator Monday Okpebholo for creating a conducive environment for sports to thrive in the state, through investment in world-class facilities and youth-focused development initiatives. With a packed athletics calendar ahead,
