2023 Delta State National Teqball Tour: Participants Crave more Teqball events after the maiden National Tour In Delta.
Participating States in the ongoing 2023 Bet9ja Delta state National Teqball Tour have expressed satisfaction with the organisation of the event after match day one and crave for more tours.
The Secretary of Gombe State Teqball Mr Adamu Sulaiman, and Engr. Muhammad Sulaiman, Vice Chairman Niger State Teqball, commended the standard the host Delta state has put up in the Maiden Edition of the National Teqball Tour.
Mr Adamu also commended the local organising committee( LOC) for the world-class reception and the serine atmosphere given to players and officials in Asaba, He urged other states not to lower the standard Delta state has set especially with the facilities used.
On his part, Engr Muhammad advised active and retired players to take advantage of the fast-developing sport because it will help as a source of employment and a tool against social vices.
Meanwhile, the Secretary of National Teqball, Mr. Ndudi Edede said regular event like this is needed to improve the rating of players globally but stated that it is not easy for the National body to raise fund for events, He however thanked the sponsors and those who supported the Tour.
The high point of the day one event witnessed Nigeria’s Number one and world number 34 player, Victor Oyemade from Kwara state defeating
Fadairo Ayomide of Ogun State won all three of his game to qualify for the quarter-final stage.
Other results on Thursday, saw Edo state representative at the National Teqball championship, Uyi Amegor Teqball club through to the second round of the competition in both male and female events.
Matches will continue tomorrow at the indoor sports complex of the Stephen Keshi stadium in Asaba.
