The second edition of the Professional Footballers Association of Nigeria (PFAN) Delta state chapter football tournament will kick off on April 4th and run through May 30th, 2026.
This was announced during a press briefing at Charlington Hotels & Apartments where the organisers signed a partnership deal with hotel management on Wednesday, March 25th 2026.
Former Super Eagles player and current FIFA Coaches Educator, Edema Fuludu who is also the General Secretary of PFAN National, said this year’s edition is an expanded edition, featuring six teams, to improve on the maiden edition where only three teams participated. Fuludu noted that the tournament is strictly for players above 50 years of age.
The CEO of Charliton Hotels, Engr. Chief Charles Ekajeh, said he was delighted with what he saw in the first edition and is happy to partner with the organisers to encourage retired footballers in their post-active football days.
Former Chairman of the Delta state football association and Chairman of the tournament’s local organising committee, Chief Kenneth Nwaomucha, commended the CEO and management of Charliton Hotels and promised an improved version of the tournament.
The initiator of this PFAN 50 years and above is the Delta state chapter of PFAN Chairman comrade Dr. Brown Ogbeifun.
