    Countdown To 1X Cup Final: Four Days To Go

    The countdown to the final of the biggest grassroots tournament in Nigeria, 1X Cup has reached crescendo with just four days to go.

    The fever is infectious and all over in the air. Lagos will literary shut down come Thursday, October 16, 2025, as all roads lead to the magnificent Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, where the grueling battle for the N20m prize money will go down.

    First timers Ikorodu City which bulldozed their way and bamboozled all comers will have it all to do against ISGAT Athletic in what promises to be an enthralling grand finale.
    The winner will go home with a whooping N10m while the runner up will pocket N5m.

    The duel for the losers final will be between Nath Boys and Dosu Joseph for the N3m at stake. Other consolitary prizes such as individual prize money for the tournament’s highest goal scorer, best goalkeeper, most valuable player, best behaved team and goal of the tournament are also available.

    Reacting to what awaits fans in the epoch event, organisers say it’s going to be a blast while calling on high profile personalities, football lovers, families to besiege the stadium in their numbers for a memorable experience.

    Chief Executive Officer of 1X Cup competition, Engr. Waidi Akanni spoke on their readiness to stage a final that epitomizes what 1X Bet title sponsors of the tournament stands for.

    “We are fully ready for a final to remember in every sense of the word.

    “It’s has been an amazing journey so far for the respective teams that will feature in this auspicious and grandeur occasion.

    “Security will be at its best, music, entertainment and the best of grassroots football will be served in a manner that you wouldn’t want to be told.

    “I employ lovers of good football to come with their families for an unforgettable experience” , Akanni quipped.
