Bayern Munich’s captain and goalkeeper, Manuel Neuer, has highlighted the benefits of incorporating Teqball into football training.
Neuer was seen honing his skills in a Teqball session with his teammates.
Interestingly, Marvel Dick, Chairman of the Delta State Teqball Association in Nigeria, had previously advocated for professional clubs to adopt Teqball as a training technique.
Delta State is gearing up for the Teqball World Championship qualifiers, showcasing the region’s enthusiasm for the sport.
The state has stepped up preparations ready to unveil Team Delta’s jerseys ahead of the sports festival demonstration in Enugu State in a bide to make the game a medal sports in the Nigeria Olympics game.
Nigeria’s Teqball scene is gaining momentum, with more than 8 states competing in the qualifiers, including Delta, Plateau, Kwara, Kogi, Edo, Abia, Ondo, and Bayelsa .
The 2025 Teqball World Championship is approaching, with Delta State preparing for the tournament.
A Teqball demonstration is planned for the forthcoming National Sports Festival, tagged “Enugu Games”, in Enugu State, which will feature sports eliminations from the South East zone .
