World Masters Athletics Championships is an event of large scale, going on for two weeks and engaging about 8000 participating athletes, all over 35 years old, representing over 100 nations. Participating athletes and their travel companions, the organizers estimated that around 20 000 people will visit Gothenburg during the championships, which is planned to be held 13–25 August 2024.
