The newly crowned World Boxing Bureau ( WBB ) Africa Women Light heavyweight boxing champion, Adejumola Olatoyin, said she is not yet done with wining as she targets more victories in the coming year, 2026 especially the Africa female Undisputed Title..
In a media chat immediately after her victory over Aminat Yekini whom she defeated on an unanimous point verdict of 3-0, Adejumola Olatoyin thanked God Almighty for her victory over her opponent as she described the bout as the most difficult of all her recent bouts.
Scoring 80-72, 80-72 and 79-73 from the the three ringside judges at the end of their Light heavyweight clash on the Christmas eve boxing night, Adejumola said her opponent , Aminat Yekini is a difficult opponent to deal with. Describing her as an equally strong and determined boxer who is ready to take you to the cleaners anytime any day.
“She made several attempts to upstage me, but meets a more resilient boxer each time she attempts as I countered all her moves successfully as the champion that I’m to maintain my championship ratings and status quo as national and continental champion”
Adejumola said.
She vowed to step up her fights in 2026 by being more aggressive and taking the fight straight to her opponent at the blast of the bail, having realized that the best form of defence is to attack and attack and retrieve to defend when necessary.
With the undisputed African female championship belt being her target in 2026,, the reigning WBB African female Champion said she is going back to training to fortify her skills ahead of 2026..
