Ramos Warns Kane About Madrid Move

Sergio Ramos has warned Harry Kane not to turn down the chance to play for Real Madrid.

Kane only has 12 months left on his contract and is expected to leave Tottenham this summer, with Manchester United and Madrid the most likely destination due to the forward reportedly having a price tag north of the £100m mark.

Los Blancos are in the hunt for a big-name striker following the departure of Karim Benzema last week and have identified the England captain as the man to lead the line.

Sergio Ramos enjoyed a decorated spell during his 16 years at Madrid – winning 22 trophies – and the former Spain captain issued a plea to Kane to not pass up an opportunity to finally get his hands on some silverware.

Via The Mirror, he said: “My advice to any player is don’t turn down the opportunity to play for Real Madrid – it is a special club who know how to win.

“He [Kane] has an incredible physical presence, you can’t score as many goals as he does in the Premier League and not be able to play the physical side of the game.

“But also he can play the technical side of the game as well and I don’t think he gets enough credit for that.  Yes, he is a great goal scorer but also he is a great football player as well.”

Although Ramos sung Kane’s praises, he admitted that anyone who comes in to replace Benzema will have a huge task on their hands to replicate the Frenchman. He added:

“What you do need to do though is bring in a quality forward who can come in and score goals. Not everybody can play for Real Madrid as there is so much pressure and expectation – so it needs to be the right player.”

The likes of Eden Hazard, Kaka, Nicolas Anelka, James Rodriguez and Luka Jovic have all struggled to cope with the pressure of lining out for Los Blancos.
