The much-anticipated Prince Gas Football U15 and Free Age Championship is set to storm Lagos, with the organisers assuring participating teams and fans of a well-structured and improved tournament.
This was disclosed by the Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Prince Sulaiman Gbadamosi, while addressing the media in Lagos ahead of the annual event. The astute football administrator stated that the competition will feature two categories: U15 and Free Age.
He noted that this year’s event marks the 13th edition of the U15 category, while the Free Age category will celebrate its 17th edition. He promised improvements over previous editions by implementing lasting structures in key areas such as prize money, officiating, discipline, and overall organisation.
“Registration is open for both categories as preparations remain top-notch for this year’s event.
“The Championship will take on a new dimension that will leave lasting memories in the minds of participants and fans alike,” said the CEO of Prince Gas Global Concept, as he outlined what awaits the participants.
The last edition of the U15 category was won by Super Accurate FC, Ikotun, while premier skills FC of Agege won the 17th edition of the Free Age category.
The proposed venues for the tournament include Palace playing Ground (Sansan field Igando )
Kasali Kudus sports center Abaranje Okeorube,
Oke Aro field Ogun state, and Agege – all to be used for both categories.
Meanwhile, thirty two (32) teams have already registered for the U15 category while they are also expecting another thirty two teams for the free age category as well.
