The National Chairman of the Nigeria Football Supporters Club, Rev. (Amb) Samuel Ikpea, has expressed grief over the death of the Bauchi State chapter chairman, Alhaji Kabiru Sarki Gabas Misau.

Ikpea, in a condolence message, described the loss as a painful one for the club, the Bauchi football community and the entire NFSC family.

“We are with you in this moment of grief. This loss is not only for Bauchi members but for all of us in the NFSC family,” he said.

He noted that the late chairman was more than a leader, adding that he played a key role in promoting peaceful football support in line with the ideals of the club.

“Alhaji Kabiru was a father figure and a friend to many football fans in Bauchi. He embodied the philosophy of peaceful followership which the NFSC represents. We will greatly miss him, and his legacy will endure,” Ikpea added.

The late Bauchi chapter chairman died on Sunday and has since been buried in accordance with Islamic rites.

His death, stakeholders say, leaves a significant void within the NFSC, particularly in Bauchi State where he was widely respected for his leadership and commitment to the growth of football supporters’ culture.
