The Indorama Unit workers of the Maritme Workers’ Union of Nigeria under its President -General, Comrade Francis Bunu Abi, recently appreciated the PG’s frantic efforts towards the signing of its Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) in Indorama Company (OIPL) FOT, Onne Port Complex, PortHarcourt, Rivers State, where Indorama is located.

The Unit in a letter jointly signed by its Chairman, Comrade Obarijima and the Secretary, Comrade George O. Moses described Comrade Bunu as a President -General, whose listening ears and commitment towards Workers’ plight and welfare is second to none in the industry, who would not compromise in any way or form by taking Workers’ priority for granted; saying that Workers’ efforts towards the growth of the nation’s economy can never be undervalued in any ramifications.

The workers also reiterated in their letter addressed to the Union, stating that the Union’s diplomatic moves coupled with the PG’s genuine intentions for the workers also played a vital role in making sure the entire
exercise was possible for the just concluded Collective Bargaining Agreement.

The Unit further said that the transparent leadership of the Union under the PG was sacrosanct and that was the ideal factor, which made the CBA a complete success; given the mutual benefit desirable for the workers; and for the optimum growth of Indorama as a company. The Unit, however in unison prayed for the Union, the PG, while also thanking the management of Indorama for their undiluted sincerity of purpose over the entire exercise.
