The United States government has introduced a new expedited visa system to manage the surge of international visitors expected for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The FIFA Priority Appointment Scheduling System (FIFA PASS) will allow fans with valid World Cup tickets to secure priority visa interview appointments at US embassies and consulates worldwide starting early next year.

This initiative aims to facilitate a smooth and efficient visa process for fans attending the tournament, which is projected to draw between 5 to 10 million visitors from across the globe.

The US Department of State has deployed over 400 additional consular officers globally to accommodate the expected demand.

    – Fans with valid World Cup tickets can access priority visa interview appointments
    – Expedited appointments will be available at US embassies and consulates worldwide
    – Standard vetting process and security protocols will still apply

    – Faster visa interview appointments
    – More efficient processing of visa applications
    – Increased chances of obtaining a visa in time for the tournament

The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico, with matches scheduled across 16 cities in North America.

The tournament is expected to generate significant economic benefits, with the US Commerce Department projecting $30 billion in visitor spending and 200,000 temporary jobs.
