Prince Vincent Okumagba, the chairman of the Unified Nigeria Supporters Club, has praised the National Sports Commission for their “show of support, concern, and collaboration with the supporters club” and congratulated the Nigerian football community on the Super Eagles’ decisive victory over Gabon.

Reacting after the emphatic 4-1 victory over the Panthers of Gabon in extra time to advance to the next playoff stage of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers on Thursday at Stade Mohammed V in Rabat, Morocco, the Prince of the Okumagba dynasty of Delta State expressed optimism that the Super Eagles will round the job of qualifications up by Sunday when they face DR Congo.

However, he praised the NSC’s leadership, which is headed by the Chairman, Mallam Shehu Dikko, and Director General Hon. Bukola Olopade
for making sure that all of his members’ logistical demands are sufficiently met by the NSC in Rabat, Morocco.

“We must applaud Hon. Bukola Olopade and Mallam Shehu Dikko for their genuine understanding of the significance of supporters to a crucial game, which makes it very easy for us to give our best of support. They came to our aid in good time.”

“They have demonstrated that they recognize the significance of a match of this caliber, and with the backing of all Nigerians, I am highly confident that the Super Eagles will secure that World Cup ticket on Sunday when they play the DR Congo.”

“With this unwavering encouragement from the NSC and the dedication shown by everyone involved, we are stepping into Sunday’s match with focus, determination, and a deep sense of responsibility.”

“We urge all Nigerians to keep believing, keep supporting, and stand firmly behind the Super Eagles. Together, we can make this moment one that will be remembered for years to come,” Okumagba noted.
