The National Sports Commission (NSC) has introduced a new era in Nigerian sports administration, marked by transparent, peaceful, and inclusive sports federation elections. Under the leadership of NSC Chairman Mallam Shehu Dikko and Director General Hon. Bukola Olopade, the elections have reimagined the governance of sports in Nigeria, attracting accomplished professionals to sports federations.

The elections, characterized as free, fair, and transparent, provided equal opportunities for qualified stakeholders to contest and contribute to the renewed vision of the sports sector. The outcome reflects growing confidence in the NSC’s reforms and commitment to merit, integrity, and national growth through sports.

Notable captains of industry, public servants, and professionals of national standing have been elected as leaders, bringing decades of leadership, innovation, and excellence to the nation’s sports federations. Their expertise is expected to drive growth and development in Nigerian sports, aligning with the NSC’s vision for a more professional and effective sports administration.Leading this distinguished lineup is the Honourable Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun, who emerged as the President of the Nigerian Boxing Federation.
