President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is sparing no effort to ensure the Super Eagles qualify for the 2026 World Cup finals. Through the National Sports Commission (NSC), the government has initiated plans to support the team, including establishing a Strategy Group to complement the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and provide necessary backing.

: The new group will work closely with the NFF to enhance the team’s performance and chances of qualifying for the World Cup finals.: The Presidency is committed to providing the necessary resources and support to help the Super Eagles achieve their goal.

Football stakeholders believe that no amount of effort or resources spent on the World Cup ticket is too much, emphasizing the significance of qualifying for the finals.

With these developments, the Federal Government is demonstrating its commitment to supporting Nigerian football and achieving success on the international stage. The Strategy Group’s establishment is expected to play a crucial role in helping the Super Eagles reach the 2026 World Cup finals.
