€100m-Rated Real Madrid Target Wants Arsenal Move

Real Madrid need to strengthen in several positions across the pitch. One of them is striker. Karim Benzema is 35 years of age and has struggled to remain fit for any consistent length of time. He remains a great player on his day but it is clear that Los Blancos will need to find a long-term successor to the Frenchman sooner or later.

Erling Haaland would be the dream signing without doubt. It will not be easy to bring him to Santiago Bernabeu though and as a result, the club must have alternative targets.

Dusan Vlahovic is someone that they have been linked with for some time now. The Serbian has not been able to reach the heights expected of him at Juventus but he remains one of the most highly-rated strikers in Europe.

But there seems to be some bad news for Real Madrid, if they indeed want to sign the 23-year-old. As reported by Fichajes (via GOAL), Vlahovic would prefer a move to Arsenal as the next step in his career.

Vlahovic was signed by Juventus in January of 2022 for a transfer fee believed to be around €81 million from Fiorentina. And while he has a decent scoring record for the Turin-based side, the Serbian has not matched the expectations.

It is also worth pointing out that Massimiliano Allegri’s system does not really suit a striker like Vlahovic. As a result, there have been rumours of a summer exit.

There have been suggestions that Juventus could be ready to let Vlahovic go for a transfer fee around €100 million. That would be a huge figure to shell out for a young striker whose spell in Turin has not been the grand success that the fans had hoped. Thus, do not expect to see him at Real Madrid anytime soon.
