As Paris Saint-Germain aim at signing a new goalkeeper in Lille star – Lucas Chevalier, opportunity knocks at the door of Gianluigi Donnarumma’s Transfer to Man United.
Gianluigi Donnarumma has great interest in the English side at Old Trafford due to United.
The Italy captain who is rated one of the best goal keepers in the world with his recent attainment of last season’s Champions league title with PSG, where he received the golden gloves, having made 47 appearances across all competitions last season, helping PSG besides the Champions League, to attain Ligue 1 and the Coupe de France, making the team the very first to secure a continental treble.
Nonetheless, Donnarumma has been suffering as the only under contracted player through 2026, agreement on a new deal has lacked progress and report from L’Equipe, proves PSG have agreed a deal to sign Lille goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier. The report has it that the sum of €40million (£35m) has been agreed upon for the 23-year-old, beside bonuses. PSG are forcing all process through to have him settled for their upcoming clash against Tottenham on the 13th August, 2025.
In the midst of all of that Man United has ceased the opportunity to have Donnarumma’s ‘transfer working . Reports has it that man United believe a deal would be ‘very difficult’ at the moment, but that could change.
On the other hand, United first-choice goalkeeper – Andre Onana, who has been an object of criticism online and offline since his transfer from Inter Milan back in 2023 and has suffered many unexpected goal keeping errors. As report would have it, when asked about his future earlier this summer, Onana said: “Will I leave? I don’t know, we’ll see!” His football career in man United has been terrible since arrival despite the backings of Amorim to keep his confidence on guard: “I think even when you talk about Andre, you can see the goalkeepers,” Amorim told reporters.
“Even Tom [Heaton] is leaner, he’s a different goalkeeper. Altay [Bayindir] did really well, and Onana is going to be better, like the other guys, this year. I think are we better in every detail, in the organisation of the day-by-day.
“The nutrition is better, the way we cook, what we eat, how we prepare training. I think that we are more organised. I think we have people now that help us to be better. I’m not concerned with small things and I was last year.
“So, those things help us and help me to think more about watching the game, watching the team. So it’s a big help for me. When it’s a big help for the technical staff, it’s a big help for the players.”
