    Spires 5-Aside Tourney: Allibay Unveils Plans To Support Over 200 Players

    The initiator of the Spires 5-Aside Naija Street Soccer Tournament Dr. Bankole Allibay, has expressed confident in the abilities of young players in the respective teams to excel in other metier outside football. Allibay made this know on the sideline of the grand-finale of the divisional tournament in Epe. He said Spires Media, through its street soccer initiative will support over 200 footballers to acquire mordern skills outside their football career.

    In his words: “Our projection is beyond just having these guys play football, we want to create an ecosystem that transcend the round leather game for these young people”.

    ” Not everyone will have the opportunity to play football up to professional level, so, our aim is to train over 200 of these player’s and coaches in other skills such as coding and programming, artificial intelligence, as well as other modern skills that will help them standout in today’s world”. Allibay added.

    Papa SA, Net Breakers FC, and Olaodus football club will represent EPE in the Spires 5-Aside state championship after finishing tops in the divisional qualifiers. They will join other teams from Ikeja, and Ikorodu who have already secured their spots.

    The Spires 5-Aside Naija Street Soccer Tournament qualifying train moves to Badagry division from Saturday, 5th July 2025.

    Sixteen teams across the five divisions in Lagos will compete in the Spires 5-Aside Naija Street Soccer state championship latter in the year.
