Former Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) President Amaju Pinnick has thrown his support behind the late Dr. Edwin Clark’s funeral novelty match. Pinnick, a former member of the world and Africa football’s ruling body, pledged to donate pairs of jerseys for both teams featuring the late Chief Edwin Clark’s picture.
While speaking with Warri Wolves FC Chairman Neville Ambekederemo, Pinnick commended the local organizing committee members, stating that this gesture is a small way he can show support for the late sports enthusiast. He described the late elder statesman as a father figure who deserves a befitting funeral rite.
The funeral arrangements, which will last over a week, include, traditional wrestling,cultural dance before the Funeral Rites, May 13th,

Secretary of the novelty match committee who doubles as secretary Delta state sports writers association of Nigeria, SWAN, Ogo Clarkson, praised Pinnick, a former Delta State Football Association (DFA) chairman, and called on other stakeholders to support the event’s success as the date draws near.
