    Niger Delta Sports Festival Flame Ignited in Bayelsa As Torch Tour Commences

    The Niger Delta Sports Festival Torch Tour kicked off in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, marking the beginning of its journey across the nine participating states. The ceremony, held at the Samson Siasia Stadium, was attended by enthusiastic athletes, sports administrators, government officials, and the general public.

    The Festival Torch was presented to Bayelsa State Deputy Governor, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, by the State Commissioner for Sports, Hon. Daniel Igali, who received it from the State Director of Sports, Sir Braveman Wodi. Ewhrudjakpo expressed confidence in Bayelsa State’s preparedness for the festival, stating that the state would excel and be among the top three states on the podium.

    The Niger Delta Sports Festival is scheduled to take place in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, from April 1 to 8. The festival aims to promote sports
