    Delta State FA Cup: Warri Wolves & Delta Queens Win Back-to-Back Titles

    Warri Wolves and Delta Queens successfully defended their titles in the 2025 Delta State FA Cup, defeating De Sapele Lions and Delta Babes respectively at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba.

    In the men’s category, Warri Wolves secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over De Sapele Lions. Jude Ebhohon opened the scoring in the 5th minute, but the Lions equalized in the 41st minute. Matthias Abuzor scored the winning goal in the 52nd minute, capitalizing on a set piece from a corner kick.

    In the women’s category, Delta Queens FC dominated Delta Babes 2-0, with Destiny Itobor scoring a first-half brace. This victory marks Delta Queens’ back-to-back titles, extending their reign as champions to over a decade.

    Warri Wolves received the FPG Technology and Solutions first prize of ₦1 million, while Delta Queens FC took home ₦300,000.
