The ongoing Africa4Peace Allstars 5-A-Side tournament for players 45 years and above has kicked off with exciting matches. After match day one, Ughelli United and Men2Boys lead their respective groups.
In Group B, Ughelli United, playing without substitutes, impressively defeated Housing Complex 4-1 to take the top spot. Corner Lux secured a 2-1 win over Delta Allstars International to occupy second place with three points.
In Group A, Men2Boys edged Chevron FC Warri 1-0 in a closely contested match to lead the group. Meanwhile, Daudu United and Ex-Players International played out an explosive 4-4 draw, featuring ex-professional stars.
Action resumes on Sunday, February 9th, at 3:00 pm with a crucial fixture between Chevron FC and Ex-Players International, led by former professional footballer Humphrey Jebba. Men2Boys will face a star-studded Daudu United at 3:30 pm. Ughelli United will aim to maintain their lead against Delta Allstars, while Corner Lux seeks to secure their second win to qualify from the group stage.
All teams are expected to play their two remaining matches on match day two to determine which teams will advance to the next stage.
