Plateau Peacocks Recline To Classification Games, After 2 Defeats & Draw At African Club Championship in Morocco

Nigeria’s representative in the 2024 African Women’s Club Handball Championship, Plateau Peacocks of Jos, are now out of contention for the trophy, after losing their third Group C game, to Moroccan side USNOUASSER Handball Club, yesterday’s evening.
Peacocks lost gallantly 26-32 to the hosts, adding to their 12-40 defeat handed to them by powerhouse, Puerto Atletico of Luanda, Angola on Day 2, that’s Friday; having earlier drawn 25-25 with Andre Nziko of Cameroun on Sunday.
Coach Yusuf Abdulkadiri’s team, will now recline to the losers tournament, to compete for the President’s trophy, as well as other classification games.
Plateau Peacocks are in Casablanca as representative of Nigeria, for the championships, having finished 3rd in the Adover sponsored, Nigeria Premier Handball League in 2023.
