    8th NYG: Team Delta Leads With 25 Gold Medals

    8th NYG: Team Delta Leads With 25 Gold Medals

     

    At the ongoing 8th National Youth Games tagged ‘Asaba 2024’ Team Delta is in an unassailable lead.

    Team Delta is comfortably seated with 25 gold, 14 silver and 17 bronze medals , ahead of closest “Bendel” rivals , Team Edo , who have garnered 12 gold , 7 Silver , and 16 bronze medals.

    Lagos State is in third position with 10 gold , 11 silver , and 16 bronze medals .

    Ebonyi, Jigawa, Katsina, Nassarawa, Sokoto, Taraba, Yobe , and Zamfara states, respectively, are yet to pick up any medal so far.

    Meanwhile , the NYG , Asaba 2024, has truly lived up to it’s billing , in terms of organisation, welfare and security of athletes and officials from the 35 participating States. Only Rivers State , and the Federal Capital Territory ( FCT) , youth teams, are absent from the eight edition of the youth games. .
