    CAF Champions League: Enyimba Miss Out Among Top Seeds

    Nine times Nigerian champions, Enyimba International of Aba, have missed out among the top 10 seeded teams ahead of the 2022/2024 CAF Champions League. This is despite being a former African champions.

    The People’s Elephant won the competition back-to-back in 2003 and 2004 but has failed to make any meaningful impact in the competition in the last 10 years.

    Remo Stars on their part will be taking in the competition for the first time next season and their omission doesn’t come as a surprise.

    The football body on Sunday listed the top 10 teams for the upcoming draws and the two Nigerian clubs were left out.

    Expectedly, defending champions Al Ahly of Egypt led Wydad Casablanca of Morocco and 8 others into the seeding.

    Other teams seeded are, Es Tunis, CR Belouzidad ( Algeria) Mamelodi Sundown ( South Africa), Simba SC ( Tanzania) Pyramids ( Egypt), Petro Luanda ( Angola), TP Mazembe ( DR Cong) and Horoya ( Guinea).
