Leah was walking home one cold winter. It was almost freezing, she was almost running. In a small carriage parked on a boulevard, she saw something moving, she thought it was a stray cat. She came closer and she realized it was a little boy. She felt pity for him. Probably, had spent hours there and was fidgety.
Leah beckoned to him, helped him get on his feet and assisted him in moving. She tried asking him some questions about himself, but he found it quite difficult because he was shaky. She decided to help him to a children’s home which was nearby. She felt the boy had fled the home.
When they got there, she explained everything to the instructors, they checked their records and found out that he was not there. Leah pleaded with them to accept him that she’s sure his parents will come looking for him. They accepted him, she was grateful.
Leah ran home as fast as she could. She realized her mother had been waiting for her. Seeing the look on her mother’s face, she explained everything to her. Her mom was pleased with the kind gesture her daughter showed, she was happy.
The next day, when Leah was coming back from school, she stopped by the children’s home to check on the lad, she saw him playing, he was better now, but his parents had not come for him.
She kept on checking on him on her way home from school, bringing sweets for him. Five days later, she went there, she didn’t see him. The instructor she met there said his parents had come for him. He had gone to get groceries for his brothers when he took a wrong direction back home. He tried re-tracing his steps and all to no avail, that was when he began resting in a carriage along the boulevard, then she saw him.
The instructor hailed her for her kindness. She also thanked the instructor for accepting him and helping the parents find him. She went home happy within her.
Moral: It’s good to be kind to people who are in dire need of help.
