    2023: AfroBasket Women: D’Tigress Beat Egypt, Book Quarterfinal Ticket

    Defending champions, D’Tigress of Nigeria, on Sunday continued their good run at the ongoing 2023 AfroBasket Women in Kigali, Rwanda, as they defeated Egypt 83-74 to qualify for the quarterfinal.

    The defending champions recorded 83 – 74 pts over their Group D opponent at the BK Arena with Amy Okonkwo scoring 29 pt 13 reb 4 ass to emerge as the game MVP, she scored 20pts out of her 29 pt in the first half of the game.

    Nigeria is chasing a 4th title in a row after recording victories in the last three editions of the tournament.
